The differences between direct drive motor and belt motor

DD direct drive motor:

The full name of direct drive motor is direct drive, which is translated into Chinese as direct drive. Direct drive means that there is no belt connection between the motor and the wave plate or inner cylinder of the washing machine. Therefore, direct drive refers to a driving mode, direct drive, and no transmission device. The DD direct drive motors in the washing machine industry are all torque servo motors, i.e. DD + torque servo motors, so they are collectively referred to as DD direct drive motors.

Advantages: DD direct drive motor enables the motor to directly drive the inner cylinder, eliminating the gear box, reducer and other parts, effectively improving the stability of the inner cylinder, improving the stability of the motor, reducing the cost of the belt and the noise caused by the belt operation, thus achieving the low vibration and ultra quiet working effect and high operating efficiency.

BLDC belt motor:

The full name of BLDC motor is brush less DC motor. Non direct drive means that the motor is driven by the belt and drives the load through the clutch. In short, the motor is controlled by two belts to rotate, thereby driving the inner cylinder of the washing machine to rotate.

BLDC motor:

Advantages: the price of BLDC motor is cheaper than that of DD direct drive, and the price is not high in the later maintenance cost. However, the belt motor is easily worn and noisy, and it consumes a lot of energy during operation, so it cannot be accurately controlled.

In general, DD direct drive motors are slightly better than traditional motors in terms of performance and design. DD direct drive motor not only solves the problems of noise and stability, but also provides a more reliable guarantee for product safety.
